Jeff, brother, I need your wisdom! How do you know what to throw!? Whenever I spar, I go blank and randomly through strikes that don't seem to work! Is this just lack of drilling? Keep up the awesome work! Your courses are incredibly priced so when I say that I'm waiting for my paycheck to buy your Head Movement course, it's just cause I'm broke! XD

David has very underrated striking from what I see. Love his variety of defenses, head movement, and some nice pivots too. He doesn’t just stick to one mold and has a very agile rear hand block.

Can't say that i like how he was super open for a slam there but that's a nice armbar!

Fantastic footage and commentary showing the intricacies that would otherwise be missed by us non fighting experts. I could really appreciate the importance of sparing to the on going development of a fighter in terms of putting into practice techniques and tactics without being severely harmed.

Thank you for your video, but there are NO BELTS in SAMBO 😂😂…when I hear that “SAMBO black belt”, it means there is NO SAMBO at all 😂. Effectively it’s one of the issues regarding this sport (IMHO as an ex-SAMBO student). From one side it's difficult to evaluate the athlete level, from another - it depends on student skills and talents, and belts do not attached to the timeframe.

Definitely picking this up asap, gyms near me spar far too heavy so been looking at ways to improve when I can't spar with friends but didn't have direction hitting the bag by myself. Thank you Jeff 🐐🐐

Always train hard

I think it was a gradual escalation that hockey-sticked in intensity towards the end. IMO you were going a little hard with your punches from around 2:05-2:10 on this video and each time you landed head punches he responded by escalating the intensity for a bit before calming down again. The intensity went up and down but with a general upward trend. He's a big lad but i think he was getting annoyed with your headshots. Pretty good technique from both of y'all and glad you're not beefing over it. Found this vid via Mike at Hard 2 Hurt btw 🤟🏻

I just joined a wrestling academy. I am total beginner in combat sports. What do you suggest as to how I get better at this? Learn boxing first? Or wrestling or grappling or kick-boxing

I've been watching your sparring videos for as long as I have been training, which hasn't been too long I gotta admit, but it has given me so many ideas of things to try and also how to deal with certain types of fighters during sparring. I've been improving a lot, and that's in part thanks to you!
